Favorite Things on Amazon: Christy’s List

by Christy

When something is your favorite thing, you want to tell all your friends and family about it. These are my favorites that I use all the time because it either saves me time, it’s an amazing value, it’s durable and kid-proof (for the most part), or it’s been something I have been using for years and I stand behind the product 100%. So here’s my round-up of my favorite things.

You can also find this on my Amazon page here for easy ordering.

Black leather backpack: This is my daily purse and I love it so much. It’s pretty simple but oh so spacious. I love the pockets. There is so much room for all my makeup, wallet, kid toys, iPad, girlie products, and a special back pocket for keys. The zipper is chunky and easy to open. The flap over is just another added layer of security and makes it look stylish too. It’s comfortable to wear and I never have to worry about getting it dirty. If you need a good everyday bag, this is it.

Floral Kimono: I’m a plus-size mama and sometimes, for me, I struggle with a large amount of print in my wardrobe. I feel like this is more of an accent statement piece that is good for any woman at any size. It’s so comfortable, flowy, and feminine. It makes me feel like I’m stylish too. I don’t use it as a bathing suit coverup but the listing says you could. I hope you love this as much as I do.

PopSocket in Diamond Rose Gold: I love, love, love this PopSocket. It’s my favorite by far of all I’ve seen. It’s classy and understated. I get compliments on it all the time, especially when I take photos. These PopSockets stick well too. It never comes off but it’s removable if you want. I am happy to pay full price for this one. It’s well worth the quality.

Simple Human Trash Can: You guys, this is our best purchase in 2019 and exactly one year later, this trash can looks brand new. I’m not even kidding. No dents, scuffs, or scraps and that’s saying a ton because I’m a mom of a young boy who loves cars (enough said, right?). This trash can is quiet when you open and close it, the lid slowly closes so no snapping, hides smells pretty well, have a container you can rinse out if you need to but we haven’t done that yet. The trash bags are made for that unit but we are happy to make the investment in both trash can and bags because it means no mess EVER. Once you go Simple Human, you NEVER go back. Amiright?

Hobonichi Techo Weeks Planner: This my friends is the best little planner I’ve tried so far. I will keep trying all brands but this one I’ve rocked for the past year and it’s served me well. Excited to get my next one with an April start. I love this planner because pen ink doesn’t bleed through, it’s small and slim enough to put into my purse. Even my small cross-body purses! It also contains a ton of pages but doesn’t feel thick. It’s so good. Highly recommend.

Cricut Explore Air 2 – Matte Black: This is a crafter’s and mom’s dream! This personal DIY cutting machine can make so many things it will  blow your mind. It cuts through paper, cardstock, vinyl, iron-on vinyl, htv vinyl, faux leather, foils, specialty paper, poster board, and cardboard. I have owned a Cricut for over 10 years and now have this baby.  The Cricut Explore Air 2 is bluetooth but you can also use a USB cable to connect it to your laptop. If you have old cartridges, you can still use them. If you buy it new, you get a 2-week trial to a Cricut Access subscription to view their vast library of graphics, projects and awesome fonts. It’s so fun too.

The Happiness Project One-Sentence Journal for Mothers: This is my pride and joy. It’s really simple, it’s a 5 year journal where you open the book to the day your on, add the year, and write one sentence about anything you want to remember about your child. It can be a reflection about your child, a milestone achieved, an every day moment that made you smile. When you look back to that page again, I guarantee it will melt your heart. You can literally start anytime. It’s for you so don’t stress about keeping up with it. There’s no judgement only happiness.

Tory Burch Nuit Azur Rollerball Purfume:This is a new favorite. I call it perfume for the non-committal person. When I do use perfume, it’s usually Ralph Lauren’s Romance, but I’ve made a slight switch and I’m so glad I did. It’s a 0.2 ounce size which means it’s the size of a typical mascara bottle and at a fraction of the cost if you bought the full bottle. It fits nicely in your purse or bag – even small ones. I love the convenience factor. As for the smell, it’s a combo of violet leaf, fig, Sicilian mandarin, peony, freesia, orange flower, Jasmine Sambac, Patchouli, Vetiver, Cedar wood, and musk. I don’t honestly know what half those scents smell like on their own but combined, it rocks. It’s a cross between floral, musk, with a slight citrus scent.  At this price point, it’s worth a try.

Adidas Women’s Cloudfoam QT Racer Shoes: I’m a total Adidas girl. Always have been since I was a girl. These shoes are my latest and greatest loves. It’s super light-weight and is black with copper metallic stripes and white rubber soles. Let me tell you…it’s completely comfortable and breathable. Biggest tip, don’t wear these on a rainy day. The top mesh will not protect your feet from water. Other than than, it’s the best show and super stylish.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer: This is a new favorite I began using last fall. It was something my hairstylist, Ashton, recommended and used on me. I was mostly sold by the scent! It smells soooo good. (Extra O’s there – it’s that good). It’s a pre-styling treatment that protects and conditions the hair before you blow dry. I have oily hair at the roots so I tend to not add more oil to my hair but this definitely doesn’t feel like it weighs you down. It’s awesome and frankly, I use it as my new detangler too. Give it a shot if you’re in the market to try something new from a great brand.

Favorite Thing (not on Amazon)

Old Navy’s Mid-Rise Distressed Rockstar Jeggings: I had to share, just because! Talk about forming to my shape without feeling like I can’t breath. That’s these jeans. They don’t feel thin like other jeggings. They feel like legit jeans. The elastic band just makes life and breathing easier with minimal muffin top. Who wants that any way. Not only that, they are awesome with flats, boots, and you can dress them up or keep it casual. It’s a win-win and practically wear them all the time. That’s why I have more than one pair.

What do you think about this round up?
